(use bottom sliding bar to progress)
Description >
1.
i start each show from afar, soft, drifting, dreaming, like coming from a mountain top..

2.
the playing would get more artistic, a classical touch..
3.
then more instruments coming into play
4.
and then suddenly a full blossoming
5.
a side turn towards interesting excerpts from HA!Man soundtracks..
6.
and then a full-on cello improvisation!
7.
we reach the plains, the wide expanse..
8.
and have a jol!
9.
the finale might be a stirring song, or.. a mad dance - to this music!
HA!MAN IN SHORT

i find it difficult to give people a good description of the HA!man show. how to entice someone to come, if the show is so full of things that are, well, not strange, but quite out of the ordinary?

well, maybe a little "virtual show" will give you a taste of what lots of people rave about. here are nine sound clips of 30secs each, typical of pieces performed, also typical of a broad structure, even though not one show uses the same selection - or order - of music and other spontaneous items (for the latter, you will have to see the show live.)

Photo >

  • since 1992
  • around 200 performances a year
  • 4 continents
  • unique meeting point between western classical, african and popular styles
  • absorbing, entertaining, inspiring.

This show is also EXPERIENCE.
Digging from the inside, it digs into your inside!

Music lovers will be challenged and stimulated.
Musical laymen would be entertained.
Children will be captivated and seniors transported.
Diehard classicists will be irritated and
dead-on alternatives will snort.

And anybody is always welcome to come and play with me on stage..

and remember: all music is spontaneously generated (recordings are spontaneous layerings). that's what HA! stands for!
